Abstract: PURPOSE: A device for towing a model ship is provided to simulate the movement of a model ship similar to an actual ship and to enhance the reliability of a model test of a high speed ship in which a navigation posture is considerably changed. CONSTITUTION: A device for towing a model ship(100) comprises a body(200), a rotating rod(300), a first bearing, a connection member(310), and a model ship fixing member(400). The body is linearly moved by a guide device and an accommodation groove(221) is formed in the inside of the body. The rotating rod is installed to be freely rotate in the inside of the accommodation groove. The first bearing is installed in the inside of the accommodation groove, thereby being touched to an inner surface of the accommodation groove. The connection member is joined to the first bearing and the rotary rod at the same time. One end of the model ship fixing member is fixed to the rotary rod. The other end of the model ship fixing member is fixed to a model ship.

Abstract: PURPOSE: A model ship system for stability analysis for a damaged ship and a model ship motion monitoring method thereof are provided to minimize the postural shift of a model ship by the use of a water gate opening and closing system and to simplify the model ship by the use of the water gate opened and closed by an air cylinder in the experiment required for many repetitive experiments. CONSTITUTION: The model ship system of the stability analysis for a damaged ship comprises a model ship and a flooded compartment part(300). The flooded compartment part is installed on the model ship. The flooded compartment part includes a water gate capable of automatically being opened and closed. The water gate is automatically opened and closed by an air cylinder.
