Abstract: PURPOSE: A model ship system for stability analysis for a damaged ship and a model ship motion monitoring method thereof are provided to minimize the postural shift of a model ship by the use of a water gate opening and closing system and to simplify the model ship by the use of the water gate opened and closed by an air cylinder in the experiment required for many repetitive experiments. CONSTITUTION: The model ship system of the stability analysis for a damaged ship comprises a model ship and a flooded compartment part(300). The flooded compartment part is installed on the model ship. The flooded compartment part includes a water gate capable of automatically being opened and closed. The water gate is automatically opened and closed by an air cylinder.
