PURPOSE: An antiviral composition for fish pathogenic viruses which contains flavonoid based compound is provided to show stability of fishery by conquering flavonoid based compound. CONSTITUTION: An antiviral composition for fish pathogenic viruses includes Rhus verniciflua Stokes extract which is obtaind by extracting a Rhus verniciflua Stokes sample with 80% methanol. The antiviral composition for fish pathogenic viruses contains Rhus verniciflua Stokes extract which is obtaind by extracting a Rhus verniciflua Stokes sample with 80% methanol as an active ingredient. An organic solvent is hexane, chloroform, ethyl acetate, and butanol fraction. An antiviral composition for fish pathogenic viruses Rhus verniciflua Stokes extract which is obtaind by extracting a Rhus verniciflua Stokes sample with 80% methanol as an active ingredient.

PURPOSE: An anti-scuticociliatic composition containing Polysiphonia morrowii Harvey extract or compounds isolated from the extract is provided to reduce fish death by scuticociliates. CONSTITUTION: An anti-scuticociliatic composition contains Polysiphonia morrowii Harvey extract or compounds isolated from the extract as an active ingredient. The extract is isolated by non-polarity solvent. The non-polarity solvent is selected from the group consisting of MeOH, n-hexane, or CH_2Cl_2.

PURPOSE: A composition containing Rhus verniciflua bark extract or galate derivative isolated from the same are provided to ensure significant anti-scuticociliatida activity. CONSTITUTION: A composition for preventing or treating scuticociliatida infection of fishes contains Rhus verniciflua bark extract as an active ingredient. The Rhus verniciflua bark extract is isolated using non-polar solvent extract. The non-polar solvent is n-hexane, CHCl3, EtOAc, n-BuOH, or H_2O. A composition for preventing or treating scuticociliatida infection contains Rhus verniciflua bark extract-derived methyl galate of chemical formula 1 or a galate derivative of chemical formula 2 as an active ingredient. The galate derivative is gallic acid, ethyl galate, propyl galate, butyl galate, or isoamyl galate.

A composition comprising the extract of Rhus verniciflua bark is provided to inhibit proliferation of fish pathogenic bacteria, and enhance fish immunity by increasing activity of lysozyme in blood, so that the composition is useful for prevention and treatment of fish pathogenic bacteria-induced infection. A composition for prevention and treatment of fish pathogenic bacteria-induced infection comprises the extract of Rhus verniciflua bark which is prepared by suspending Rhus verniciflua bark in distilled water and extracting the suspension of Rhus verniciflua bark with non-polar organic solvent selected from n-hexane, chloroform, ethylacetate and n-butanol, or methyl-3,4,5-trihydroxybenzoate represented by the formula(I) isolated from the Rhus verniciflua bark extract, wherein the fish pathogenic bacteria include Edwardsiella tarda, Vibrio anguillarum, Flexibacter maritimus and Photobacterium damselae subsp. piscicida.
