Abstract:
PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing an UV protecting agent of nano capsule containing eicosapentaenoic acid(EPA) and titanium dioxide sol is provided to ensure skin dispersibility and to completely block UV. CONSTITUTION: A method for manufacturing an UV protecting agent comprises: a step of completely dissolving titanium isopropoxide and anhydrous ethanol at room temperature; a step of dropping the mixture to distilled water to obtain titanium dioxide sol; a step of dissolving chitosan into an acetic acid solution and dispersing the titanium dioxide sol and eicosapentaenoic acid to ethanol; a step of dropping into chitosan solution and stirring to obtain nanoparticles; a step of washing and drying nanoparticles; a step of separating solution and nanoparticles; and a step of storing in a freeze-drier and diluting in a small amount of water.

PURPOSE: An antimicrobial agent containing essential oil loaded in polymeric beads is provided to effectively and safely enhance anti-microbial activity. CONSTITUTION: An antimicrobial agent contains essential oil loaded in polymeric bead as an active ingredient. The polymeric bead is alginate bead. The essential oil is essential oil of tea tree, chamomile or eucalypus. The microbial is Staphylococcus aureus. A method for producing the antimicrobial agent comprises: a step of homogenizing essential oil and polymer solution(0.1-10% w/v of polymer) in a volume ratio of 1:100-1,000; and a step of dropping mixture solution into bead forming solution, washing and drying. The bead forming solution is calcium chloride, magnesium chloride or calciumsulfate solution.

A method for detecting Streptococcus pneumoniae or Staphylococcus aureus in a sample is provided to detect the Streptococcus pneumoniae or Staphylococcus aureus accurately and very simply within a short time and also measure concentration of the Streptococcus pneumoniae or Staphylococcus aureus, thereby being easy to determine the existence of the bacteria and the outbreak of diseases. A method for detecting Streptococcus pneumoniae in a sample comprises the steps of: (a) applying the sample onto a biosensor where a pneumococcal polysaccharide is fixed on the surface; and (b) measuring surface plasmon resonance caused by interaction between the pneumococcal polysaccharide and the sample. A method for detecting Staphylococcus aureus comprises the steps of: (a) applying the sample onto a biosensor where at least one material selected from the group consisting of protopectin, pectic acid, pectin acid and pectin is fixed on the surface; and (b) measuring surface plasmon resonance caused by interaction between the pneumococcal polysaccharide and the sample.
