    Abstract: A coating solution for manufacturing a cation conductive polymer composite membrane is provided to reduce methanol crossover as compared with a currently used Nafion 115 membrane while maintaining good physical properties including electric resistance and power density of a fuel cell. A coating solution for manufacturing a cation conductive polymer composite membrane comprises: 100 parts by weight of a cation exchange group-containing polymer; 1-10 parts by weight of sulfonated clay; and a cosolvent containing a mixture of a high-boiling point solvent with a boiling point of 180-250 deg.C and a low-boiling point solvent with a boiling point of 100-180 deg.C. The high-boiling point solvent and the low-boiling point solvent are mixed in a weight ratio of 1:20-1:1.5.
