Abstract: A flame retardant thermoplastic resin composition of the present invention is characterized in comprising 100 parts by weight of a base resin including (A) 10-49 wt% of an aromatic vinyl resin and (B) 51-90 wt% of a polyphenylene ether resin; and (C) 0.1-30 parts by weight of polyphosphonate including a unit represented by the following Formula 1. In the above Formula 1, A is a single bond, a C1-C5 alkylene group, a C1-C5 alkylidene group, a C5-C6 cycloalkylidene group, -S- or -SO_2-, R_1 is a substituted or unsubstituted C1-C6 alkyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted C6-C20 aryl group, or a substituted or unsubstituted C6-C20 aryloxy group, R_2 and R_3 are independently a substituted or unsubstituted C1-C6 alkyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted C3-C6 cycloalkyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted C6-C12 aryl group, or a halogen atom, a and b are independently an integer from 0 to 4, and n is an integer from 1 to 500. The flame retardant thermoplastic resin composition has good flame retardancy, thermal stability and durability, and is eco-friendly.
