Abstract:
The present invention relates to a peptide with two functions like antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory activity, which is manufactured by a bacillus strain separated from fermented Korean traditional food kimchi, and to uses thereof. In the present invention, the peptide with two functions is generated by bacillus sp. CS32 whose accession number is KCTC 18250P separated from kimchi and is stable at or below 90 degrees Celsius and between 5.0 and 12.0 pH, which has antimicrobial activity for multi drug resistance (MDR) including methicillin-resistant staphylococcus aureus (MRSA), vancomycin resistant staphylococcus aureus (VRSA) and vancomycin-resistant enterococci (VRE) and comprises anti-inflammatory activity for inhibiting the expression of iNOS and COX-2 gene induced by LPS and protein and the productivity of cytokine, thereby being efficiently applicable as antibiotics or anti-inflammatory drug.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a novel xylanase derived from Streptomyces sp. strain, and to applications to agricultural by-product decomposition. According to the present invention, EX624 xylanase is economically produced by culturing Streptomyces sp. CS624 in a culturing medium comprising wheat bran which is easily obtained and is a low-priced agricultural by-product. As a result of biochemical property analysis, EX624 xylanase is irrelevant to cellulase, is stable in a wide range of acidic and alkaline PH, and is thermally stable properly. Also, enzymatic hydrolysis of beech xylanase using purified EX624 xylanase can be used for producing xylooligosaccharide.
Abstract:
PURPOSE: A lipase produced by Streptomyces sp. is provided to catalyze transesterification for producing biodiesel and to properly produce biodiesel. CONSTITUTION: A lipase for producing biodiesel is isolated from Streptomyces sp. (CS326) and is identified to have a single protein band through SDS-PAGE. The molecular weight of the lipase is 17 kDa. The optimal reaction temperature and pH of the lipase are 40 deg. C and pH 7.0. The lipase is a heat resistant enzyme. The lipid decomposition activity is increased to 100% by adding Triton X-100 and is suppressed to 5% by adding SDS. The lipid decomposition activity is completely suppressed in deoxycholic acid and is suppressed by 50% using EDTA and EGTA. The lipid decomposition activity is suppressed by Mg^2+, Fe^2+, Na^+, Mn^2+, Ca^2+, and Co^2+. The rate constant is Km=0.24mM and V_max=4.6mM/min/mg using Lineweaver-Burk plot.

본 발명은 한국 전통 발효 식품인 김치에서 분리한 바실러스 균주에 의해 생산되고, 항균 및 항염증성의 양기능성 펩타이드 및 그의 용도에 관한 것이다. 본 발명에 따른 양기능성 펩타이드는 바실러스 속 CS32(균주기탁번호 KCTC 18250P)는 김치로부터 분리하고, 90 ℃ 이하 및 pH 5.0-12.0에서 안정된 것으로서, 메티실린 내성 황색포도상구균(MRSA), 반코마이신 내성 황색포도상구균 (VRSA) 및 반코마이신 내성 엔테로코시(VRE)를 포함하는 다약제 내성(MDR) 세균에 대해 항생 활성을 나타냄과 동시에 LPS에 의해 유도된 iNOS 및 COX-2 유전자 및 단백질 발현, 사이토카인 생산을 억제하는 항염증 작용을 나타내므로, 상기 펩타이드는 항생제 또는 항염증제로서 효율적으로 사용될 가능성이 매우 높다.
