Abstract: PURPOSE: A method for synthesizing of black cubic ZrO2 single crystals is provided to produce massively articles of superior quality by performing heat treatment in a carbon reduction atmosphere. CONSTITUTION: A heat treatment process is performed in the carbon reduction atmosphere. Any one of graphite, carbon, coal, charcoal, briquet and coal tar is used as a carbon supply source for making up the carbon reduction atmosphere. The carbon supply source is used within 1 to 50 wt.% on the basis of the weight of ZrO2 single crystal. A high temperature vacuum chamber keeps the vacuum degree of 10¬-1¯10¬-5 torr and the temperature of 950 to 1,500 °C. The heat treatment is lasted for 0.5 to 50 hours.

Abstract: A glass ceramic is composed of glass frit powder (1) and 1-10 wt.% - cordierite fine powder (2) with the average particle size of 0.01- 0.2 μm. The glass frit powder (1) contains 45-55 wt.% SiO2, 15- 25 wt.% Al2O3, 15-25 wt.% MgO, 0.4-0.5 wt.% CaO, 0.9-1.5 wt.% B2O3 and 1.4-1.5 wt.% P2O3. A weight ratio of coarse glass frit powder to fine glass frit powder is 1:1.5-2.5. The above powder is molded by pressure molding method or doctor blade molding method, and it is heated to the temperature range of 800-1000 deg.C at a rate of 180-360 deg.C/hr, maintained for 20-120 min, and cooled at a rate of 120-240 deg.C/hr.
