Abstract: PURPOSE: A multiple lens type stereo camera is provided to compensate change of an optical axis and to control a main optic angle according to rotary and linear movements of half mirrors. CONSTITUTION: A camera comprises image buffers(215,216); image processors(217,218); an image comparison part(219); an image converter(220); a focusing control(221); a zoom seesaw switch(222); a zoom controller(223); and a half mirror controller(224). The image buffers temporarily store image data from CCDs(211,212) of cameras(207,208). The image processors process intensity and phase of the images appropriately for broadcasting or recording. The image comparison part compares images to determine whether centers of the images are identical and the images are in complete focus. The image converter generates data needed to adjust focus of the cameras and angles of half mirrors(203,204,205,206). The focusing control generates data to control focusing controls(209,210) of the cameras. The zoom seesaw switch generates analog electric signals to change relative distances between lenses for zoom lenses of the cameras to have focal distances a user wants. The zoom controller generates data to control zoom drivers(213,214) of the cameras. The half mirror controller receives data from the zoom controller and the focusing control to generate data controlling rotary and linear movements of the half mirrors.
