    Abstract: PURPOSE: An automatic sampling system for shape information and a sampling method thereof are provided to rapidly process image information using a moire probe, to use halogen illumination instead of laser light for human body, to automatically and precisely sample three dimensional shape information with high sampling density and to unite face information in 360 degrees. CONSTITUTION: An automatic sampling system contains a rotating table(2) rotating an object(3); a rotating table controller(4) for controlling the rotating table; a moire probe(1) inputting image information per face; a moire probe controller(6) controlling the moire probe; and a microcomputer(5) controlling the rotating table controller and the moire probe controller, analyzing the moire image and sampling three dimensional shape information in 360 degrees. First, the object is rotated in 360 degrees to make the shape of the object. Secondary, an upward three dimensional information is combined with the shape of the object by using a mirror face and by photographing the upper portion of the object. Finally, the three dimensional shape of the object is sampled.

    종래에는 삼차원 스캐너에서 얻어지는 단면들의 겹쳐지는 부분을 찾아서 연결하는 방법을 사용하였기 때문에, 시간이 많이 걸리고 겹쳐진 부분이 다른 부분에 비해 조밀한 거리 정보값을 가지게 되는 문제점이 있었으며, 색칠을 할 경우에는 겹쳐지는 부분과 그렇지 않은 부분에서 색깔의 불일치가 발생하였다.
    따라서, 본 발명은, 삼차원 스캐너에서 얻어진 단면들의 위치정보를 반경이 무한대인 실린더 벽면에 투영하여 실린더 좌표값(높이, 각도)을 구하고, 상기 단면들의 실린더 좌표값을 이차원 배열에 저장하되, 단면들 사이의 중복된 부분은 모든 좌표값들을 더해서 저장하며, 상기 이차원 배열의 각 행렬 인자의 평균값을 구해 저장하여 3차원 입체를 생성하고, 색정보를 실린더 투영법에 적용하여 하나의 실린더 색 이미지를 생성하고 이 실린더 색 이미지를 상기 3차원 입체에 입힘으로써, 종래의 문제를 해결한다.
