Abstract: Disclosed is a system for decreasing air resistance using large-scale thin film plasma. The system includes a plurality of electrode units arranged on the surface of a driving body, and a power supply unit which applies power to the electrode units. Each electrode unit includes first and second electrodes installed on the surface of a driving body, and a dielectric substance arranged between the electrodes. The dielectric substance can be an air layer, and the electrode units can be arranged in a row. Other embodiments of the present invention include a matrix arrangement as the arrangement of electrodes. The system is capable of effectively providing a large-scale plasma generating zone, thereby, more effectively reducing the air resistance.
