    Abstract: The S-substituted at 2-position of pyrrole (I) for herbicide is produced by (1) reacting propazyl halide and N-(2-fluoro-4-chloro-5-hydroxyphenyl) -2,3-dimethyl maleimide (IV) from 2,3-dimethyl maleate and 2-fluoro-4-chloro- 5-hydroxy aniline to get N-(2-fluoro-4-chloro-5-propazyl oxyphenyl) -2,3-dimethyl maleimide (V), (2) reducing (V) with mercaptan compounds to get N-(2-fluoro- 4-chloro-5-propazyl oxyphenyl) -3,4-dimethyl -2-hydroxy-5-oxo- 2,5-dihydropyrrole (VI), (3) reacting (VI) and thiophenol 4-halide to get N-substituted phenyl-3,4-dimethyl- 2- (S-substituted)-S-oxo- 2,5-dihydro pyrroles (I). (I) as herbicide is useful for tomato, wheat, soybean, corn and rice.

    Abstract translation: 用于除草剂的吡咯（I）2-位的S-取代基是通过（1）使卤代酰卤和N-（2-氟-4-氯-5-羟基苯基）-2,3-二甲基马来酰亚胺（IV） 由2,3-二甲基马来酸酯和2-氟-4-氯-5-羟基苯胺得到N-（2-氟-4-氯-5-氟苯氧基）-2,3-二甲基马来酰亚胺（V），（ 2）用硫醇化合物还原（V）得到N-（2-氟-4-氯-5-丙酰基氧基苯基）-3,4-二甲基-2-羟基-5-氧代-2,5-二氢吡咯（VI） ，（3）使（Ⅵ）和苯硫酚4-卤化物反应得到N-取代的苯基-3,4-二甲基-2-（S-取代）-S-氧代-2,5-二氢吡咯（I）。 （I）作为除草剂可用于番茄，小麦，大豆，玉米和水稻。
