    Abstract: The present invention relates to a device and a method for evaluating coating materials for a die casting mold. The purpose of the present invention is to provide a device for evaluating coating materials for a die casting mold capable of rapidly and accurately comparing and evaluating the performance, such as durability and others, and suitability of various coating materials under conditions similar to mass-production conditions, such as the flow of molten metal and others. To achieve the purpose, the device for evaluating coating materials for a die casting mold comprises: a melting machine for heating the molten metal and controlling the temperature of the molten metal; a sample holder on which samples coated by the coating materials to be evaluated are mounted; a lifting tool for lifting up and down the sample holder on which the samples are mounted so as to dip the samples mounted on the sample holder into and out from the molten metal of the melting machine; and a rotating tool which is coupled to an output part of the lifting tool to be lifted up and down by the vertical driving force of the lifting tool and which rotates the samples inside the molten metal because the sample holder is rotated in a state where the samples are dipped into the molten metal by being coupled to the output part for outputting the rotation force.
