Abstract: PURPOSE: A metallic mesh setting apparatus of low pressure casting mold is provided to prevent deformation of the metallic mesh and improve working safety by automatically installed a metallic mesh at a certain position through a setting jig on a sprue of the casting mold used in the low pressure casting process. CONSTITUTION: The metallic mesh setting apparatus of low pressure casting mold comprises rails(103) laterally installed for a low pressure casting machine(101); a base frame(107) installed on the rails in such a manner that the base frame is movable through rollers(105); a position fixing means mounted on one side of a lower part on the base frame to fix the base frame for a certain position of the rails; a lowerable and liftable unit downwardly mounted on the base frame; and a setting jig(127) mounted on a lower part of the lowerable and liftable unit to insert a metallic mesh(129) into a sprue(133), wherein the position fixing means comprises a bracket(111) having a fixing hole(109) at certain positions of the rails, and a position fixing cylinder(113) for inserting an operation rod(115) into the fixing hole of the bracket or separating the operation rod therefrom to fix the base frame, wherein the lowerable and liftable unit comprises a lowerable and liftable cylinder(117), guide housings(119) and guide bars(121), and wherein the setting jig comprises a plural attaching pins formed on the lower surface of a cylindrical jig block so that the attaching pins are inserted into pores of the metallic mesh.
