Abstract: An apparatus and a method for controlling model-based EGR system are disclosed. The model-based EGR system estimates the amount of target air by reducing the flow rate of HP EGR corresponding to the flow rate of LP EGR when the LP EGR is supplied in an operating condition for controlling only the flow rate of HP EGR. The invention comprises a step of: (1) whether or not the occurrence of the transition of the operating condition is determined in an idle stop state that the flow amount of the HP EGR is only controlled in a vehicle with the EGR system; (2) determining the LP EGR duty according to the operating variables and considering the LP EGR is supplied when the transition of the operating condition occurs; (3) determining the HP EGR duty by determining the reduction amount of the HP EGR based on the inflow rate of the LP EGR; and (4) supplying the LP EGR based on the LP EGR duty and estimating the inflow rate of air by reducing the HP EGR based on the HP EGR duty to maintain the inflow rate of the EGR. Abstract: PURPOSE: A multi-function switch for a vehicle is provided to specifically compartmentalize a related operation area of a rotating knob of an operation lever by installing a lighting module which offers light of a band type according to a border. CONSTITUTION: A multi-function switch comprises a left side lever and a right side lever(120). A lighting module(150) is used in order to compartmentalize an operation area of a rotating knob. The lighting module secures visibility by compartmentalizing an end knob operation area and the rest operation lever area by using light. The left side lever comprises an intermediate knob having a switch function operating a fog lamp, and an end knob having a function operating an automatic mode. The right side lever comprises an intermediate knob(122) having a switch function for controlling speed of a front wiper, and an end knob(123) having a switch function for operating a rear wiper.
