Abstract: PURPOSE: A method for controlling a fuel pump is provided to improve starting up by preventing the delay of fuel pressure increase. CONSTITUTION: A method for controlling a fuel pump comprises next steps. It confirms whether the starting of the vehicles driven the engine was switched off or not. If it is identified that the starting of the vehicles is switched off, the electromagnetic controller controls the spill valve of a fuel pump to a dark state(S1). After the spill valve is controlled to the dark state, the power source of the electromagnetic controller is off let(S2). The vapor generation within the fuel rail is prevented by increasing the pressure of the fuel rail(S3). The spill valve of the fuel pump is maintained as a closed state in order to prevent the increase of a fuel rail.

When the starting of a vehicle is off, an electronic controller determines the number of driving times of a low-pressure pump according to the cooling water, oil temperature and surrounding temperature of the vehicle. Abstract: PURPOSE: An electronic throttle valve control device and method are provided to prevent engine rpm change or sudden start by applying estimated throttle position sensor values to feedback control when two throttle position sensors malfunction at the same time. CONSTITUTION: An electronic throttle valve control device comprises an accelerator pedal detecting unit(10) which detects the displacement of an accelerator pedal, an air flow detecting unit(20) which detects the air volume flowing into an engine, a controller(30) which adjusts the position of the throttle valve by deciding torque to the accelerator pedal displacement and undergoes feedback control of the throttle valve position using signals of TPSs(Throttle Position Sensors), and a throttle body(40) which includes a DC motor and the TPSs and regulates the position of a throttle valve according to a signal from the controller. The controller applies a TPS value estimated from a signal of the air flow detecting unit when an error in the TPS signal is detected.
