Abstract: PURPOSE: An exhaust gas inflow prevention device for a vehicle and a method thereof are provided to prevent exhaust gas from reversely flowing in the inside in advance by maintaining internal air pressure according to inflow of external air when an air conditioning device of the vehicle is in an internal air mode and the vehicle drives in a high speed. CONSTITUTION: An exhaust gas inflow prevention device for a vehicle comprises a mode door(100) and a control unit. The mode door blocks an external air inlet(H) to circulate internal air and induces external air into the vehicle by opening the external air inlet. When vehicle speed is over a predetermined speed in the internal air mode of the mode door, the control unit prevents exhaust gas from reversely flowing in and minimizes reduction of ventilation performance by tilting the mode door to an external air mode direction at a predetermined angle.
