Abstract: 본 발명은 파노라마 뷰(view) 화상에 차량화상을 겹쳐 표시하는 차량정보표시 시스템에 있어서, 차량주변의 정보나 차량상태나 위험장소의 정보를 운전자에게 이해하기 쉽게 제시한다.
차량의 주변을 촬영하여 취득한 복수의 화상 데이터와, 차량구조물을 나타내는 차량 데이터를 합성하여 합성화상을 작성한다. 합성화상의 좌표계를, 운전자의 시점위치 또는 차폭에 대한 차량중심선상을 가상시점으로 하는 파노라마 뷰 좌표계로 변환하여 파노라마 뷰 화상을 작성한다. 상기 합성화상을 해석하여 차량 주변의 주의해야 할 장소를 식별하고, 화상간의 거리를 계측하며, 표시부에 파노라마 뷰 화상에 겹쳐서 주의해야 할 장소의 화상과 거리를 표시한다.

Abstract: PURPOSE: An information display system for a vehicle is provided to enable a driver to see a panorama view image which is identical or similar to the peripheral status of the vehicle by positioning the virtual viewpoint of the panorama view image on the driver's viewpoint or a vehicle center line on the breadth of the vehicle. CONSTITUTION: An information display system for a vehicle comprises a peripheral image memory unit, a peripheral image processing unit, a vehicle image processing unit, an output image processing unit, and a manipulation part. The peripheral image memory unit(3) keeps a plurality of image data photographing the periphery status of the vehicle. The peripheral image processing unit(4) converts a plurality of image data into one peripheral image. The vehicle image processing unit(6) prepares the vehicle image. The output image processing unit(7) prepares the composite picture of the peripheral image and the vehicle image. A display unit(8) displays the composite pictures and the manipulation part(9) performs image change and the image authentication.
