Abstract:
A curing resin composition that cures in two stages: photo cure and thermal cure, hardly contaminates a liquid or liquid crystals when in contact with, and provides high adhesive strength, particularly a curing composition that photocures sufficiently even when shadowed by TFT wires, a black matrix, etc. in photocuring; and a sealant, a sealant for ODF (one-drop-fill), and an LCD containing the curing resin composition. The curing resin composition contains (A) an oxime ester radical initiator represented by general formula (I), where symbols are as defined in the description, (B) a radical curing resin, (C) a latent epoxy curing agent, and (D) an epoxy resin.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polymerizable compound good in solvent solubility and superior in orientation controllability and optical characteristics, and a polymerizable composition. SOLUTION: The polymerizable compound is expressed by general formula (1). The polymerizable composition contains the polymerizable compound. In the general formula (1), M 1 and M 2 each independently express a hydrogen atom or a methyl group, X 1 and X 2 each independently express a 1-10C alkylene group which may have direct bond or branch, an alkyleneoxy group or an alkyleneoxycarbonyloxy group, X 3 expresses a 1-10C alkylene group which may have branch, Y 1 and Y 2 each express an ester bond or the like, and rings A, B, C and D each express a ring structure such as 2,6-naphthylene. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To curable resin composition exhibiting two stage curing of photo curing and heat curing as a feature, having low staining in the contact with a liquid crystal and high adhesive strength, and capable of suppressing the lowering of reaction rate, and to provide a sealant and a sealing agent for liquid crystal dropping construction method using the curable resin composition and to provide a liquid crystal display element using the sealing agent.SOLUTION: In the curable resin composition, (A) an oxime ester base photo radical initiator expressed by general formula (I), (B) a radical curable resin, (C) a latent epoxy curing agent, (D) an epoxy resin and (E) a compound having carboxyl group except (A) component are jointly used.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a curable resin composition having high adhesivity and low viscosity, and high heat resistance and low curing shrinkage and low elastic modulus, and further a curable resin composition having low staining property when being contacted with a liquid or a liquid crystal; and to provide an encapsulating agent, a sealing agent for liquid crystal dropping process and a liquid crystal display using the same.SOLUTION: The composition concurrently uses (1) a second to fifth generation dendrimer having at least two polymerizable groups in the molecule, (2) a radically curable resin excluding (1) the second to fifth generation dendrimer having at least two polymerizable groups in the molecule, (3) a polymerization initiator, (4) an epoxy resin, and (5) a latent epoxy curing agent.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealing agent for a liquid crystal dropping method suitable as a sealing agent for a liquid crystal dropping method characterized by two step curing of photo curing utilizing visible light wherein light having 400 nm wavelength or lower is cut and thermal curing and having low curing temperature, high adhesion strength and low contamination to a liquid crystal. SOLUTION: The sealing agent for the liquid crystal dropping method includes the following components (1), (2), (3) and (4). (1) a curing agent comprising a reaction product obtained by reacting a polyamine having at least one active hydrogen and at least two nitrogen atoms in its molecule and an acid compound, (2) a thermosetting resin, (3) an acyl phosphine-based photo initiator and (4) a photocurable resin.
