Abstract: The invention relates to a cyclodextrin compound and inclusion compounds comprising it. This cyclodextrin compound or its inclusion compound can be used to form ultrathin films on a solid substrate. These ultrathin films are used, for example, as protective film for compounds which are sensitive to light or oxygen or as chromatographic support with which organic molecules can be separated.
