Abstract:
Examples of multi-user configuration are disclosed. An example method includes, at an electronic device: receiving a request; and in response to the request: if the voice input does not match a voice profile associated with an account associated with the electronic device: causing output of first information based on the request using a first account associated with the electronic device; if a setting of the electronic device has a first state, causing update of account data of the first account based on the request; and if the setting has a second state, forgoing causing update of the account data; and if the voice input matches a voice profile associated with an account associated with the electronic device: causing output of the first information using the account associated with the matching voice profile; and causing update of account data of the account based on the request.
Abstract:
Systems and processes for operating an intelligent automated assistant are provided. In accordance with one example, a method includes, at an electronic device with one or more processors and memory, receiving a natural-language speech input indicative of a request to the digital assistant; obtaining, by the digital assistant, context information; determining, by the digital assistant, a text-to-speech mode from a plurality of text-to-speech modes based on the obtained context information; and providing, by the digital assistant, an audio output with the determined text-to-speech mode, where the audio output is indicative of a speech response to the user request.
Abstract:
In some circumstances, users wish to configure communication restrictions on other electronic devices. In some embodiments, a supervising electronic device manages communication restrictions of a supervised electronic device. In some embodiments, a supervised electronic device presents user interfaces that enforce one or more communication restrictions configured by a supervising electronic device when communicating with other users.
Abstract:
An electronic device, with a display device, a communication device, one or more processors and memory, displays a first representation of a first controllable external device, where the first controllable external device is situated at a location. The device detects a first input corresponding to a selection of the first representation of the first controllable external device. In response to detecting the first input, the device transmits instructions, using the communication device, to the first controllable external device to perform a function if the first controllable external device is of a first type or displays, using the display device, a user interface for controlling characteristics of the first controllable external device.
Abstract:
A method includes displaying a first media information affordance representing a first media item in response to detecting an indication that a physical proximity between an electronic device and an external device satisfies a proximity condition. The electronic device receives a first input representing selection of the first media information affordance. In response to receiving the first input: in accordance with a determination that the first input is a first type of input, a process to playback the first media item is initated; and in accordance with a determination that the first input is a second type of input different from the first type of input, a second media information affordance representing the first media item is displayed.
Abstract:
While an electronic device is connected to a first external device, display a first user interface including a first affordance. Detect an input selecting the first affordance. In response to detecting the input corresponding to selection of the first affordance, initiate a process to provide audio data concurrently with the first external device and a second external device different from the first external device. After initiating the process to provide audio data concurrently to the first external device and a second external device, detect an indication that a physical proximity between the electronic device and the second external device satisfies a proximity condition. In response to detecting the indication that the physical proximity between the electronic device and the second external device satisfies the proximity condition, display a second user interface indicating that the physical proximity between the electronic device and the second external device satisfies the proximity condition.
Abstract:
The present disclosure generally relates to interfaces and techniques for media playback on one or more devices. In accordance with some embodiments, an electronic device includes a display, one or more processors, and memory. The electronic device receives user input and, in response to receiving the user input, displays, on the display, a multi-device interface that includes: one or more indicators associated with a plurality of available playback devices that are connected to the device and available to initiate playback of media from the device, and a media playback status of the plurality of available playback devices.
Abstract:
Systems and processes for operating an intelligent automated assistant are provided. In accordance with one example, a method includes, at an electronic device with one or more processors and memory, receiving a first natural-language speech input indicative of a request for media, where the first natural-language speech input comprises a first search parameter; providing, by a digital assistant, a first media item identified based on the first search parameter. The method further includes, while providing the first media item, receiving a second natural- language speech input and determining whether the second input corresponds to a user intent of refining the request for media. The method further includes, in accordance with a determination that the second speech input corresponds to a user intent of refining the request for media: identifying, based on the first parameter and the second speech input, a second media item and providing the second media item.
Abstract:
In accordance with some embodiments, a method is performed at a device with one or more processors, non-transitory memory, a display, and an input device. The method includes displaying, on the display, a playback status indicator regarding playback of a media item. The method includes displaying, on the display, an image associated with the media item. The method includes detecting an input interacting with the image. In response to a first portion of the input, the method includes adjusting the appearance of the image on the display in accordance with the first portion of the input. In response to a second portion of the input, the method includes changing playback of media items on the device in accordance with the input in accordance with the second portion of the input, one can add a second media item to the queue if the first media item meets group-sensitive queueing criteria, providing an option to add the second media item to the queue after the first media item and before any other media items that are in the queue. Detecting the occurrence of the condition while the plurality of media items uses the first amount of storage, deleting one or more of the plurality of media items. Automatically-generated play list, detecting user interaction with the representations of the first set of media items. If first update criterion for the first automatically-generated playlist has been met, updating: adding, removing maintaining.
