Abstract: Title compsns. are prepd. from a mixt. of is not 1 binder, with softening temp. 50-120 degrees C and melt viscosity at 120 degrees C of 300-10,000 (300-5000) poises, pigment and possibly other usual additives in is not 1 org. solvent, by dispersing the pigment with the other components in self-cleaning endless-screw machines, at the same time freeing the mixt. from the org. solvent, and finally cooling, powdering and possibly sieving in the usual way. Separate grinding of the pigment is not needed. Premature cross-linking, or degradation, of the binder are avoided. High-gloss lacquers with good mech. props. are obtd. The coatings can be stoved at lower temps.
