Abstract: The extruder has unidirectionally rotating, parallel screw shafts, in which mult-threaded, close meshing screw profiles with semi-spherical thread grooves are formed in the partially filled conveying zones adjacent to close meshing, single or double threaded trapezoid screw profiles in the pressure build up zones. The latter profiles have a pitch of 0.2-1.5 times the OD of one screw element.

Separate grinding of the pigment is not needed. Premature cross-linking, or degradation, of the binder are avoided. High-gloss lacquers with good mech. props. are obtd. The coatings can be stoved at lower temps.
