Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To afford a specific polymer with such advantages as reduced solution viscosity and improved rinsability with invariable tonic activity by using itself as a hair setting polymer. SOLUTION: A polymer with a group of formula I [R is H or a (mutually bound) organic group; G is O or NH] is used as a hair setting polymer. It is preferable that the polymer of formula I is produced under the use of a monomer of formula II (R1 is H or CH3) (e.g. ureidomethacrylate), or comprises repeating unit of formula III; specifically, the polymer of formula I is pref. such one as to be produced by copolymerization between two kinds of monomer each bearing olefinic double bond, namely, 0.05-100 wt.% of the monomer of formula II and 0-99.95 wt.% of another copolymerizable monomer.
Abstract:
The invention relates to cosmetic and/or pharmaceutical preparations composed of polymers containing polysiloxanes which are soluble in water or can be dispersed therein, in addition to other polymers and /or filters protecting against ultraviolet light. The invention also relates to the use of such preparations and the use of polymers containing polysiloxanes.
Abstract:
The polymers claimed for use as hair fixatives contain a group of formula (I). G = O or NH; and R = H or same or different organic groups optionally bonded to each other. The novel polymers comprise 0.05-90 wt.% of an optionally substituted (meth)acrylic acid-(2-(2-oxo-(or imino-)imidazolidin-1-yl)-ethyl ester) monomer of formula (II) and 99.95-10 wt.% vinyl caprolactam and/or vinyl pyrrolidone. R = H or Me; and R = H or same or different organic groups optionally bonded to each other.
