Abstract: PURPOSE: To obtain a capacitive measuring chemical sensor apparatus capable of easily replacing individual constituting elements to be adapted to reduce size by indicating extremely low interlacing sensitivity with simple manufacture. CONSTITUTION: The capacitive measuring chemical sensor apparatus comprises a sensor 12, and a reference element 11 connected in series with the sensor 12 to be brought into contact with measuring solution, i.e., electrolyte 1 with semiconductor as a base capable of being reduced in size. The element 11 is covered with a membrane 8, and formed of a highly doped semiconductor substrate 10 or metal-semiconductor substrate. The sensor 12 is formed of insulator- semiconductor substrate 5 covered with a sensitive film 7, and the film 7 of the sensor 12 has higher sensitivity than that of the film 8 of the element 11.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To obtain a suitable reference electrode for electrolyte, insulator and semiconductor system by laminating a polyglutamate layer directly on a substrate made of insulator or semiconductor or on a formed phthalocyaninate and polysiloxane polymer layer. CONSTITUTION: In the reference electrode, a polyglutamate coating is formed on an insulator or semiconductor substrate or on a phthalocyaninate and polysiloxane polymer layer formed on the substrate by a Langmuir's or Blodgett's technique. As the polyglutamate, the copolymer of γ-methyl-L- glutamate and γ-n-alkyl-L-glutamate is used when poly-γ-methyl-L-glutamate and Langmuir' or Blodgett's technique are used. The thickness of the polyglutamate is 3.6 to 180nm and laminated on the substrate. As the substrate, SiO2 /Si substrate is preferably used.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To make it possible to obtain a thin layer having a specific dyestuff concn. per unit area by dissolving lipophilic dyestuff and org. polymer into an org. solvent immiscible with water and spreading the soln. to the boundary between water/air, then evaporating the soln. CONSTITUTION: The monomolecular layer obtd. after evaporation of the org. solvent by dissolving the lipophilic dyestuff and the org. polymer into the org. solvent immiscible with water and spreading the soln. to the boundary between the water/air is transferred onto a solid layer carrier according to a Langmuir- Blodgett method. The lipophilic dyestuff is evidently embedded into the polymer in the monomolecular layer and is dissolved therein. Namely, the homogeneous mixture composed of the dyestuff and the polymer is obtd. as the monomolecular layer. As a result, the thin layer of the specific dyestuff concn. per unit area equal with respect to the fluctuation in the dyestuff concn. and the layer thickness (the number of the monomolecular layer) as well is reproducibly produced.
