Abstract: In a process for continuously producing mixts. or solns. of liqs. contg. up to 20% wt. of solid component and fillers, in which the components are mixed in a housing by a rotary mixing device, the heating and conveying through the housing of the solid materials are effected using the liq. The mixing or dissolving process is carried out at pressures of 2-60 atmos. and at temps. in excess of the m.pts. of the solid components. The components have a short residence time in the mixer, which therefore has a high throughput capacity in relation to its size. Good product homogeneity achieved. The mixed is insensitive to adhesive materials or materials which tend to form deposits.

Abstract: Process for continuously metering small mass flows of pastes not capable of flowing in the unsheared state, these pastes being precomminuted, then compressed into a mass in the form of a paste panel without void inclusions and finally comminuted into small particles.

Abstract: Thick liquids are blended and homogenised by continuous passage through varying shear field. Here they are subjected to a shear frequency of 5 to 1000 Hz with a shear stress of >=103 N/m2. The portion of liquid subjected to shear at any moment should not exceed a total volume of 1-40%. The high shearing follows a zone of relaxation. The ratio of through put to shearing surface is 5.103 to 25.103 kg/m2h. The viscous liquid can contain up to 80% wt. of dispersed solids, and chemical reactions or crystallisation can occur during the process.
