Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a stable benzophenone imine free from a reverse reaction to form benzophenone during storage by distilling ammonia and also removing water using distillation or using non-distillation means from an effluent of a benzophenone imine reaction. SOLUTION: This method is composed of the processes distilling ammonia and removing water using distillation or using non-distillation means from an effluent of a benzophenone imine reactor generated by catalytic reaction of a benzophenone of the formula [R and R are independently a halogen, hydroxy, a 6-10C aryl, a 1-12C alkyl, etc.; (m) and (n) are each independently an integer of 0-5] and ammonia. The distillation is preferably carried out at 20-200 deg.C under a pressure of 1-1,000 mbar.
A) 5-99,99 Gew.-% eines Polyphenylenethers, B) 0 bis 94,99 Gew.-% vinylaromatische Polymere, insbesondere schlagzäh modifizierte Styrolpolymerisate, C) 0,01-10 Gew.-% Aminomethylencyanessigester, und D) 0-95 Gew.- % Zusatzstoffe, wobei sich die Gew.-%-Angaben auf die Summe der Bestandteile A, B, C und D als 100 Gew.-% beziehen.
Abstract:
Described are cosmetic preparations containing light-screening agents designed to protect the human epidermis against UV light in the region from 280 to 400 nm. The light-screening agents are contained in a carrier compound suitable for cosmetic purposes together with compounds of the formula (I), as given in claim 1, in which R , R and n are as defined in clause 1, which absorb in the UV-B region and are per se prior art for cosmetic preparations, in amounts which are active as photostable UV-A filters.
Abstract:
Prepn. of benzophenone-imines (I) of formula (A; X = NH) comprises reacting benzophenones (II) of formula (A; X = 0) with liquid NH3 in the presence of oxide(s) of B, Al, Ga, In, Si, Ge, Sn, Pb, P, As, Sb, Bi, Sc, Y, Ti, Zr, V, Nb and/or Ta at 50-150 degrees C and 50-350 bar: R = H, 1-4C alkoxy, 1-2C alkylamino or 2-4C dialkylamino.
Abstract:
Proposed is the use, as light-protection agents and stabilizers for non-living organic material, of 3-arylacrylic acid esters (I) in which Ar is an aryl group, which may carry additional substituents, R is an n-valency aliphatic polyol group with up to 20 C-atoms, whereby the carbon chain may be interrupted by up to 9 non-adjacent oxygen atoms, or an n-valency cycloaliphatic polyol group with 5 to 20 C-atoms in which non-adjacent ring carbon atoms may be replaced by oxygen atoms, R and R are hydrogen or C1-C4 alkyl and n is a number from 1 to 10.
Abstract:
Water and ammonia are removed from crude benzophenone-imines obtained by the catalytic reaction of ammonia with benzophenones of formula (I), in which R , R = (a) halogen, hydroxyl, nitro or amino groups, (b) 1-12C linear, branched or cyclic alkyl or alkoxy, optionally substituted with 6-10C aryl, F, Cl or Br, (c) 6-10C aryl or aryloxy, optionally substituted with 1-12C alkyl or alkoxy, (d) heteroalkyl groups comprising alkyl groups as above with in-chain O, S and/or N atom(s), or (e) heteroaryl groups with 5-10 ring atoms containing 1-3 O, S and/or N atoms; m, n = 0-5. The process comprises removing the ammonia by distillation and removing the water by distillation or with a drying agent.
