Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cosmetic preparation for preventing an aging process of the human skin and hair. SOLUTION: The chroman derivative represented by formula 1 (wherein, substituents have each independently the following meaning: R1 is a hydrogen atom or a 1-12C alkyl; R2 is a hydrogen atom or a 1-12C acyl; R3 and R4 are each a hydrogen atom or a 1-12C alkyl; R5 is a hydrogen atom, a 1-12C alkyl or an aryl) is used in a cosmetic or a preparation for dermatology.
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a composition for carrying out a beauty culture treatment of the skin and/or the hair in order to improve the appearance of the skin. SOLUTION: A method for cosmetically treating the skin comprises coating the skin with a cosmetic composition comprising 5'-deoxy-5'-methylthioadenosine and/or its cosmetically acceptable salt in an effective amount for improving the appearance of the skin. Abstract:
The invention relates to the use of compounds having certain sulfur and optionally nitrogen atom-containing structures as peroxide decomposers in cosmetic and pharmaceutical agents for treating skin. The invention also relates to cosmetic and pharmaceutical agents comprising compounds having such structures.
Abstract:
Disclosed are preparations containing at least one retinoid, at least one water-soluble antioxidant, and at least one oil-soluble antioxidant. The invention is characterized by the fact that the preparations contain at least 1 part by weight of one or several water-soluble antioxidants and 0.1 to 100 parts by weight of one or several oil-soluble antioxidants per part by weight of retinoid, the content of one or several water-soluble antioxidants ranging between 0.05 and 0.8 percent by weight relative to the total quantity of the preparations.
Abstract:
The invention relates to the use of polymers, which may be obtained by radical polymerisation of a) at least one vinyl ester of C1-C24 carboxylic acids in the presence of b) polyether containing compounds with a molecular weight of at least 300 and c) optionally one or several further co-polymerisable monomers, in skin cosmetic formulations and in decorative cosmetics.
Abstract:
The invention relates to cosmetic or dermatological preparations for avoiding or decreasing skin damage as a result of formed peroxide or hydro-peroxide from endogenous or exogenous factors. Said preparations contain a) at least one active antioxidant as an O or C radical scavenger and b) at least one organic or inorganic skin tolerant compound, which reduces the peroxide or hydro-peroxide to the appropriate alcohol without creating subsequent active radical steps. Said compound is chosen in such a way that it reacts at body temperature substantially faster than the compounds in the skin containing sulphur.
Abstract:
The invention relates to the use of PARP inhibitors in cosmetic preparations, especially in after-sun lotions. The invention further relates to cosmetic preparations that contain a PARP inhibitor and a UV absorber.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to the use of lipoic acid, lipoic acid derivatives or salts thereof having an (R)-enantiomer-excess in cosmetic compositions for skin or hair and for the preparation of dermatological compositions for the treatment of skin disorders, to cosmetic and dermatological compositions, and to compositions in the form of commercial packs.
