Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for hydrogenating a polyene by which the reaction can be carried out without using a large amount of expensive catalyst and without using a solvent or at least by using the solvent in the minimum amount with extremely high yield from quantitative conversion by carrying out the hydrogenation in the presence of a carboxylic acid. SOLUTION: The hydrogenation is carried out in the presence of (C) a carboxylic acid when hydrogenating (B) a polyene to a corresponding monoene by using (A) a homogeneous system of a ruthenium catalyst. Preferably, the component A is generated in situ in the presence of CO or formaldehyde, and the hydrogenation is carried out in the presence of triphenylphosphine at 50-300 deg.C under 1-300 bar. The component B is preferably 1,5,9-cyclododecatriene or cyclooctadiene, and 0.1-2,000 mg ruthenium (expressed in terms of metal) is used based on 1 kg component B. Further the component C is preferably a 1-20C monocarboxylic acid or the like.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for copolymerizing THF with an α, ω-diol in the presence of heteropolyacid, more economically, at a higher polymerization conversion, and more accurately in control of average-molecular weight. SOLUTION: The method for continuously producing tetrahydrofuran-copolymer comprises copolymerizing tetrahydrofuran with an α, ω-diol in a reaction cascade in the presence of a heteropolyacid and a telogen, wherein the telogen and/or the α, ω-diol are added in the first reactor of the cascade and water is distilled away from at least one reactor to outside the polymerization reaction. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing O-, S- and N-alkenyl compounds by reaction of the corresponding OH, SH or NH compound with an acetylene by which the alkenyl compound can be produced with high selectivity, high space-time yield and high productivity in a simple way and which only forms small amounts of substantially involatile residue. SOLUTION: This continuous method for the preparation of O-, S- or N- alkenyl compound comprises reacting the corresponding OH, SH or NH compound with the acetylene in a liquid phase in the presence of a basic alkali or alkaline earth metal compound at 40-300°C under 0.11-5 MPas absolute pressure. Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for giving a purified alkenyl compound having a very low color number, without having defects described in detailed description of this invention and without incurring a high cost. SOLUTION: When an alkenyl compound having a divalent or trivalent heteroatom at α-position based on the double bond is purified, distillation is carried out at least two times and the purified compound is obtained from a vapor phase by condensation. The time between the first distillation after the synthesis of the alkenyl compound and at least one further distillation is at least one day, and the purified alkenyl compound has an APHA color number of
