The invention concerns a mixture of a copolymer (A) comprising between 50 and 99 mol % polymerized-in styrene units and between 1 and 50 mol % polymerized-in units of 1,1-diphenylethylene and/or a block copolymer comprising at least one polystyrene block and at least one poly(styrene/diphenylethylene) block of the above composition. The invention further concerns a process for preparing this mixture by the anionic block (co)polymerization of styrene or styrene and diphenylethylene, and an impact-resistant modified polystyrene (B).

The invention relates to thermoplastic moulding materials containing: A) 15 to 84 wt. % of a thermoplastic polyamide; B) 15 to 84 wt. % of a copolymer composed of vinylaromatic monomers and of 1,1-diphenylethylene or derivatives thereof which are eventually substituted at the aromatic rings with alkyl groups containing up to 22 carbon atoms; C) 1 to 30 wt. % of a polymer modified by polar groups or of polymer mixtures; D) 0 to 69 wt. % of other additives and ancillary treatment agents. The total percentage of the constituents A) to D) is equal to 100 %.

The invention relates to a mixture containing 50-90 wt. % of a styrene-diphenyl ethylene copolymer obtained by anionic block (co) polymerization of styrene and 1,1-diphenyl-ethylene or a block copolymer (A) and 10-50 wt. % of a particle-shaped graft copolymer (B) with a transition temperature (Tg) of less than -10 DEG C and at least 3, preferably 4 layers or shells whereby at least one shell or the graft nucleus (B1) has a transition temperature (Tg) of more than 25 DEG C and at least one shell or graft nucleus has a transition temperature (Tg) of less than 25 DEG C, preferably below O DEG C wherein any spatial sequence of the graft shells is possible.

The invention relates to a molding material comprising 45 to 95 wt. % styrene and 1.1-diphenylethylene copolymer(S/DPE copolymer) with 37 to 85 wt. % polymerized styrene units and 15 to 63 wt. % polymerized 1.1-diphenylethylene units or a styrene-S/DPE double block copolymer whose S/DPE block has the above-mentioned composition. The inventive molding material also contains 5 to 55 wt. % of a rubber-elastic microsuspension graft polymer consisting of particles with a diameter d50 of 30 mu m or less with a rubber-elastic graft core consisting of units of one or several C2-36-alkyl-acrylic esters with a glass transmission temperature Tg lower than -10 DEG C and a graft shell made of at least 50 wt. % polymerized styrene units.
