The invention relates to a method for producing aqueous copolymer dispersions of copolymers consisting of carbon monoxide and olefinically unsaturated compounds, by means of copolymerisation of carbon monoxide and olefinically unsaturated compounds in an aqueous medium in the presence of metallic complexes.

A process for preparation of aqueous copolymerizate dispersions from copolymerizates of carbon monoxide and olefinically unsaturated compounds by copolymerization of carbon monoxide and the olefinically unsaturated compounds in aqueous medium in the presence of:- (a) metal complexes of formula (I), (b) a dispersion agent and optionally (c) a slightly water-soluble organic solvent.
