Abstract: PURPOSE: To provide a strong color contrast between exposed and unexposed regions and prevent the leaving of a residual layer on a metallic substrate by incorporating a specified compd. as a sensitizer into a recording material. CONSTITUTION: At least, one kind of compd. represented by formula I is incorporated as a sensitizer into a recording material. The max. of the long wavelength absorption band of the compd. is is 1-12C alkyl, 1-12C alkoxy, etc., R is H, 1-12C alkyl, etc., (n) is 1 or 2 and each of R and R is 1-8C alkyl, cycloalkyl, etc. A sharp strong contrast between exposed and unexposed regions is given in a relatively short chemical ray exposure time necessary for a photopolymerizable recording material, satisfactory preservability is ensured and a residual layer is not left on a metallic substrate.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To obtain a high storage stability for a long time even in a high temp. and high humidity environment by incorporating mixture of a photooxidizing agent, a specified leuco compd., and if necessary, a sensitizer as a color developing system. CONSTITUTION: This material consists of one or more kinds of polymer binders, a color developing system, and if necessary, one or more kinds of polymerizable monomer org. compd., and a photoinitiator or photoinitiating system which can be activated by irradiation, and a normal additive and assistant. As for the color developing system, a mixture of a photooxidizing agent, a leuco compd. expressed by formula I and a sensitizer is incorporated. In the formula I, A, B are groups expressed by formula II, R is a 1-8C alkyl group, aryl group, etc., R is phenyl group, 1-8C alkyl group, etc., R is hydrogen, a halogen or 1-8C alkyl group, R and R are 1-8C alkyl groups or alkylaryl groups having 1-6C alkyl groups. Thereby, the obtd. material has high stability in the color developing system high storage property in a dark place.
