Abstract: Laminate comprises (a) foamed or honeycomb core layer, density 30-150 kg/cub m, of temp-resistant thermoplast or thermoset plastics material (A) and (b) at least one top layer of fibre-reinforced, temp-resistant, thermoplast or thermoset plastics material (B), core layer (a) having (c) at least one foamed insert, density 200-1000 kg/cub m, of temp-resistant thermoplast (C). - More specifically layer (a) is 4-40 mm thick, layer (b) is 0.1-1.5 mm thick, and insert (c) has dia 0.5-10 cm. (A), (B), and (C) have heat-dimensional stability temp, DIN 53461 (B), at least 130 deg C. Layer (a) is of foam and (A) and (C) are of same type of thermoplast, partic polyether-sulphone (I), polysulphone (II), polyetherimide, or polyamide. Or layer (a) is honeycomb of phenol resin-impregnated aromatic polyamide.
