Abstract: PURPOSE: To obtain a closing wall part of specified thickness at a low cost and to prevent damages of a casing and the like during assembling by constituting the closing wall part and a front wall part of a synthetic resin to be attached to the casing in the aperture zone where a head enters. CONSTITUTION: The cassette 20 has a front wall part 21 and a closing wall part 45 which can be fixed to casings 22, 23 and independently comprise a synthetic resin material. The dimension from the inner wall to the front wall is limited to the max. 1.2mm according to IEC standard. By separately forming the part 21 and the part 45 from a polyacetal resin having easy fluidity instead of a conventional front wall formed as integrated with a casing, the recording medium can be protected from dust and damages. Therefore, these parts can be formed to have about 0.35 to 0.65mm thickness, and especially, when polyoxymethylene is used, enough strength as well as thermal stability, wear resistance and smooth travelling property can be obtd.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To attach or exchange a cleaning member after a casing is assembled by attaching a distinct supplement part which can be fixed to the casing to its front wall and having the cleaning member on a rear face of the supplement part. CONSTITUTION: Openings for inserting or cutout spaces 7A and 7B are provided on a front wall band 6A-6B between a head approach opening 4a of a cassette C and front wall openings 4b and 4c, and a distinct supplement part 8 is fixedly attached. To the rear face of the supplement part 8, a cleaning member 21 is fixedly attached. Thereby, the cleaning member 21 is additionally attached by attaching the supplement part 8 after a casing consisting of a bottom plate part 2 and a cover plate part 1 is assembled and a magnetic tape is mounted or wound up. A supplement part 8 which is provided with a new cleaning member 21 is attached and the supplement part 8 itself is exchanged. Furthermore, it is desirable that a cleaning member 21 is a band cleaning mat which consists of felt, fleece or velvet materials.
