Abstract: PURPOSE: To prevent friction caused when a closing member is hooked by an approach opening by forming a prescribed angle between the front edge side of an open window and the front edge side of the approach opening when the closing member moves to the open position. CONSTITUTION: A shutter 7' of a diskette 5 is provided with a rectangular open window 9' in a size almost equivalent to the size of an approach opening 10 provided at a case 6, and when the shutter 7 is moved, the window 9' is overlapped with the opening 10 so that a head can be allowed to approach. While the shutter 7' is moved to the open position, a prescribed angle α is formed between a front edge side K' of the open window and a front edge side V' of the opening 10. Thus, the edge sides K' and the V' can be made in contact with each other at one point, and friction can be reduced. Also, the angle α can be provided between the rear edge side of the open window and the rear edge side of the opening 10, and the edge sides can be formed into a curved line shape.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To obtain a closing wall part of specified thickness at a low cost and to prevent damages of a casing and the like during assembling by constituting the closing wall part and a front wall part of a synthetic resin to be attached to the casing in the aperture zone where a head enters. CONSTITUTION: The cassette 20 has a front wall part 21 and a closing wall part 45 which can be fixed to casings 22, 23 and independently comprise a synthetic resin material. The dimension from the inner wall to the front wall is limited to the max. 1.2mm according to IEC standard. By separately forming the part 21 and the part 45 from a polyacetal resin having easy fluidity instead of a conventional front wall formed as integrated with a casing, the recording medium can be protected from dust and damages. Therefore, these parts can be formed to have about 0.35 to 0.65mm thickness, and especially, when polyoxymethylene is used, enough strength as well as thermal stability, wear resistance and smooth travelling property can be obtd.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To attach or exchange a cleaning member after a casing is assembled by attaching a distinct supplement part which can be fixed to the casing to its front wall and having the cleaning member on a rear face of the supplement part. To the rear face of the supplement part 8, a cleaning member 21 is fixedly attached. Thereby, the cleaning member 21 is additionally attached by attaching the supplement part 8 after a casing consisting of a bottom plate part 2 and a cover plate part 1 is assembled and a magnetic tape is mounted or wound up. A supplement part 8 which is provided with a new cleaning member 21 is attached and the supplement part 8 itself is exchanged. Furthermore, it is desirable that a cleaning member 21 is a band cleaning mat which consists of felt, fleece or velvet materials.
