Abstract: Anti-copying film (2) for covering documents (1), which for the purpose of protection against copying is opaque in vertical plan view (5) owing to total reflection and appears transparent in a slanting (oblique) direction (6) of view. The film has an irregular saw-toothed structure (3). As a result, it is virtually impossible to produce an identical second film which could be laid down to cancel the effect of the anticopying film (2).

Abstract: In order to improve contrast in diazofilms, the diazo compounds in the light-sensitive layer which are to be activated by exposure for colour formation are supplemented by diazo compounds in the case of which nitrogen remaining at the exposed locations and bubbles causing light scatter are produced after the action of light followed immediately by a heat treatment.

Abstract: An anti-copying film or layer is composed of a film or layer of transparent material with a plurality of mutually spaced, at least partially non-transparent areas whose planes are arranged in approximately the same position with respect to the surface of the film or layer, so that from a predetermined viewing angle the surface of the anti-copying film is substantially transparent. These areas are at least partially made of a photosensitive material converted by exposure to radiation into a non-transparent or reflecting material. Grooves or flutes in which the photosensitive material is located may also be provided in the transparent plastic material.
