Abstract: In the production of an anti-copy film serving to cover documents (1) to prevent copying, opaque, strip-like covers (3) are applied to the individual layers of a transparent, multi-layer film (2) in a mutually offset arrangement for the printing process in such a way that the film appears to be opaque when viewed from above (4) but transparent when viewed obliquely (5). For this purpose, a web of film is printed with the covers in sections corresponding to the layers and the sections are subsequently folded relative to the layers.

Abstract: Magnetic recording media with a coating on the reverse side is produced, consisting of a non-magnetic substrate, a magnetic coating on the main side, and, on the other side, a coating made up of a polymer binder, non-magnetic fillers, pigments, dispersing agents and other usual additives. The material for this reverse coating is produced by separately mixing the various solid particles and additives with part of a solution of the binder so as to coat the particles with the organic substances concerned; this mix is next dispersed by means of a ball mill, metered quantities of the dispersion obtained plus the remaining solution of binder are then intensively mixed in a toothed colloid mill against the direction of feed before being applied to the reverse side of the sheeting. ADVANTAGE - The method produces stable dispersions from a wide variety of solid materials. It does so with a high space-time output. Existing types of dispersion can be used without increasing the quantity of dispersion agent. It improves the fault count in the reverse side layer and hence improves the recording quality of the medium.

Suitable production methods permit the use of photographic methods.

Abstract: An anti-copying film or layer is composed of a film or layer of transparent material with a plurality of mutually spaced, at least partially non-transparent areas whose planes are arranged in approximately the same position with respect to the surface of the film or layer, so that from a predetermined viewing angle the surface of the anti-copying film is substantially transparent. These areas are at least partially made of a photosensitive material converted by exposure to radiation into a non-transparent or reflecting material. Grooves or flutes in which the photosensitive material is located may also be provided in the transparent plastic material.
