Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide cholesteric layered structures having a similar structure which can be produced by lamination. SOLUTION: This invention relates to the novel cholesteric layered materials having the layer sequence A 1 /B/A 2 , where A 1 4 and A 2 7 are identical or different and each comprises at least one cholesteric layer, and B5 is at least one interlayer 5 separating the layers A 1 4 and A 2 7 from each other, wherein the layer B5 is an adhesive layer. There are also provided multilayered pigments which can be produced from cholesteric composite material, a process for their production, and their use. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing quaterrylene-3,4:13,14-tetracarboxy diimide in which blemishes of a prior art are corrected, and which is enabled by an advantageous and economical way.SOLUTION: The method for producing quaterrylene-3,4:13,14-tetracarboxy diimide of general formula I, wherein a variable region has an implication written in the specification comprises as follows. perylene-3,4-dicarboxy imide of general formula IIa is made to react with perylene-3,4-dicarboxy imide of general formula IIb, wherein X denotes hydrogen, bromine or chlorine under the presence of an organic solvent of high boiling point nature of base stability and a base containing an alkali metal or alkaline earth metal.
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a properly substituted perylene-3,4-dicarboxylic monoimide having advantageous application character, not only applicable by incorporating easily into a specific application vehicle but also capable of absorbing and radiating light with shorter wavelength than representative known compounds, e.g., in a yellow color region of electromagnetic spectrum. SOLUTION: There is provided a 9-cyano substituted perylene-3,4-dicarboxylic monoimide represented in Fig.I, [the variables are defined as follows: X has a specific meaning, Y is a functional group Y' or a polymerizable group P, or X-Y together form an R group, Y' is has a specific meaning. P is a group represented in Fig.II, A, B are each independently hydrogen, 1-6C alkyl or phenyl, or are together a cyclopentene or cyclohexene ring which contains the double bond to which A and B are bonded, Q, n and R each has a specific meaning]. Abstract:
A process for preparing quaterrylene-3,4:13,14-tetracarboximides of the general formula I in which R, R′ are each independently hydrogen or optionally substituted C1-C30-alkyl, C5-C8-cycloalkyl or aryl or hetaryl; which comprises reacting a perylene-3,4-dicarboximide of the general formula IIa in the presence of a base-stable, high-boiling, organic solvent and of an alkali metal base or alkaline earth metal base, with a perylene-3,4-dicarboximide of the general formula IIb in which X is hydrogen, bromine or chlorine.
