PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stable emulsion comprising a polyolefin, in particular, polyisobutene and water, and to provide a method to obtain the emulsion and also to provide the use of the emulsion.SOLUTION: An emulsion comprises, with respect to the total mass of the emulsion: (a) a polyolefin in an amount of 2 to 75 mass%; (b) a polymer Px in an amount of 0.05 to 40 mass%; (c) oil Ox in an amount of 0 to 25 mass%; (d) a surfactant Sx in an amount of 0 to 25 mass%; (e) an additive Ax in an amount of 0 to 20 mass%; and (f) water in an amount of 10 to 97.95 mass%. The emulsion can consist of components (a), (b) and (f).

The present invention relates to amphiphilic water-soluble alkoxylated polyalkyleneimines having an inner polyethylene oxide block comprising 20 to 50 polyethylene oxide units and an outer polypropylene oxide block comprising 10 to 50 polyethylene oxide units and especially to such alkoxylated polyalkyleneimines wherein the ratio of polyethylene oxide units and polypropylene oxide units is proportionally related to the square root of the number of polyalkyleneimine units present in the backbone. The present invention further relates to the use of these alkoxylated polyalkyleneimines as a soil detachment promoting additive to laundry detergents and cleaning compositions and to laundry detergents and cleaning compositions which comprise these alkoxylated mono- or polyalkyleneimines.

The present invention relates to a process for the alkoxylation of a first polymer comprising at least one monomer unit having NH groups and optionally NH2 groups, wherein the first polymer has a molecular weight Mw of at least 500 g/mol, comprising the steps of (a) reacting the first polymer with alkylene oxide in a reaction mixture comprising a solvent until the average degree of alkoxylation of each NH group and each optional NH2 group, calculated as two NH groups, is from 0.75 to 1.25; (b) adding a second polymer of formula (I), wherein R is a linear or branched alkyl group having from 1 to 20 carbon atoms, each R' is independently a linear or branched alkyl group having from 1 to 20 carbon atoms or hydrogen, each n is independently from 1 to 5 and m is from 5 to 40, to the reaction mixture of step (a); (c) at least partially removing the solvent from the reaction mixture of step (b); and (d) further reacting the reaction mixture of step (c) with alkylene oxide at a given temperature until the average degree of alkoxylation of each NH group and each optional NH2 group, calculated as two NH groups, of the first polymer is from 2 to 40. The present invention also relates to a polymer composition obtainable from that process and the use of such a polymer composition.

The invention relates to etheramines of formula (I) or formula (II) or a mixture of etheramines of formula (I) and formula (II) based on 1,2-dialcohols, wherein R1 is a linear or branched alkyl group with 2 to 16 carbon atoms, R2 is a hydrogen or an alkyl group with 1 to 16 carbon atoms, x=1 and y=1 and the sum of x+y is between 2 and 10, and A1, A2, A3 and A4 are independently selected from the group consisting of linear and/or branched alkylenes having 2 to 18 carbon atoms and wherein Z1-Z4 are independently selected from OH, NH2, NHR' or NR'R", wherein at least one of Z1-Z2 and at least one of Z3-Z4 is NH2, NH R' or NR'R", wherein R' and R" are independently selected from alkylenes having 2 to 6 carbon atoms.
