Abstract:
The invention relates to a multi-layer molded body that contains lignocellulose, comprising A) a middle layer or a plurality of middle layers, which contain(s) particles that contain lignocellulose and which can be obtained by using a binder (a), and B) an outer layer or a plurality of outer layers, which contain(s) particles that contain lignocellulose and which can be obtained by using a binder (b), wherein the binder (a) is selected from the group comprising (a1) formaldehyde resins and (a2) an organic isocyanate having at least two isocyanate groups; wherein the binder (b) contains the following components: an aqueous component (I) containing (i) a polymer A, which is constructed from the following monomers: a) 70 to 100 wt % of at least one ethylenically unsaturated monocarboxylic acid and/or dicarboxylic acid (monomer(s) A1) and b) 0 to 30 wt % of at least one additional ethylenically unsaturated monomer that differs from the monomers A1 (monomer(s) A2), possibly (ii) a low-molecular-weight cross-linking agent having at least two functional groups, which are selected from the group comprising hydroxy, carboxylic acid and derivatives thereof, primary, secondary, and tertiary amine, epoxy, and aldehyde, an organic isocyanate having at least two isocyanate groups as component (II), and possibly a component (III) as an aqueous dispersion containing one or more polymers M, which are constructed from the following monomers: a) 0 to 50 wt % of at least one ethylenically unsaturated monomer that contains at least one epoxide group and/or at least one hydroxyalkyl group (monomer(s) M1), and b) 50 to 100 wt % of at least one additional ethylenically unsaturated monomer that differs from the monomers M1 (monomer(s) M2), and possibly common additives as component (IV), and wherein at least one middle layer (A) contains expanded plastic particles and possibly at least one outer layer B) contains expanded plastic particles, and the binder (b) possibly contains a formaldehyde scavenger.

The invention relates to a lignocellulose-containing substance which can be obtained by treating lignocellulose particles A with a binder B, the binder B containing the following components: an aqueous component (I) containing (i) a polymer A which is constituted of the following monomers: a) 80 to 100% by weight of at least one ethylenically unsaturated monocarboxylic and/or dicarboxylic acid (monomer(s) A1) and b) 0 to 20% by weight of at least one further ethylenically unsaturated monomer which is different from monomers A1 (monomer(s) A2) and optionally (ii) a low-molecular cross-linker with at least two functional groups which are selected from the group including hydroxyl, carboxylic acid and the derivatives thereof, primary, secondary and tertiary amine, epoxy and a component (II) as the aqueous dispersion, containing one or more polymer(s) M which is constituted of the following monomers: a) 0 to 50% by weight of at least one ethylenically unsaturated monomer which contains at least one epoxide group and/or at least one hydroxyalkyl group (monomer(s) M1) and b) 50 to 100% by weight of at least one further ethylenically unsaturated monomer which is different from monomers M1 (monomer(s) M2) and optionally conventional additives as component (III).

The multi-layered lignocellulosic molded bodies comprise middle layer containing lignocellulosic particles and obtained through the use of binder (a), and two cover layers containing lignocellulosic particles and obtained through the use of binder (b). The binder (a) is formaldehyde resins (a1) and an organic isocyanate (a2) with two isocyanate groups. The binder (b) contains aqueous component (I) comprising polymer (A) constructed of monomers (A1) having 70-100 wt.% of ethylenically unsaturated mono- and/or dicarboxylic acids and 0-30 wt.% of other ethylenically unsaturated monomers (A2). The multi-layered lignocellulosic molded bodies comprise a middle layer containing lignocellulosic particles and obtained through the use of a binder (a), and two cover layers containing lignocellulosic particles and obtained through the use of a binder (b). The binder (a) is formaldehyde resins (a1) and an organic isocyanate (a2) with two isocyanate groups. The binder (a) consists of 70-99.9 wt.% of component (a1) and 0.1-30 wt.% of component (a2) related to the total (a1) and (a2) of the pure undiluted substances. The molded bodies are formed in the form of plate. An independent claim is included for a method for the production of multi-layered lignocellulosic molded bodies.

Flexible, flat substrate with an abrasive surface obtained by applying an aqueous solution or dispersion of at least one pre-condensate of a thermally curable resin onto the top side and/or the bottom side of a flexible, flat substrate in an amount in the range of 0.1 to 90 wt.-% relative to the uncoated, dry substrate, cross-linking the pre-condensate and drying the treated substrate, characterized in that the aqueous solution or dispersion of at least one pre-condensate of a thermally curable resin comprises (i) a polymeric thickener selected from the group consisting of: biopolymers, associative thickeners and fully synthetic thickeners in an amount of 0.01 wt.-% to 10 wt.-% and optionally (ii) a curing agent that only catalyzes further condensation of the thermally curable resin at temperatures greater than about 60 °C.
