Valor de pH de 3,6 a 8,5; Densidad apisonada: de 220 a 700 g/l. Dichos granulados son preparados dispersando dioxido de silicio de agua; secándolos por pulverizacion, y eventualmente se les somete a un tratamiento térmico y se les silaniza. Los granados son utilizados como vehículos para catalizadores.
