    Abstract: In the prepn. of aminopropylalkoxysilanes of formula (I) by reacting hydridosilanes of formula (II) with an amine of formula (III) in the presence of a Rh-complex catalyst with organo-P ligands, the catalyst comprises a moulded polymeric Rh complex catalyst (IV) with organosiloxane monophenylphosphine ligands: R R NCH2CHR CH2Si(OR)3-n(R )n (I) HSi(OR)3-n(R )n (II) R R NCH2CR =CH2 (III), R, R = 1-8C alkyl; n = 0, 1 or 2; R , R = H, 1-8C alkyl and/or 3-8C omega -alkenyl; R = H or 1-8C alkyl. Also claimed is the use of (IV) in the prepn. of (I).

    Abstract: New compounds are: (a) Cyclic organosilane esters of formula (I); (b) cyclic organyloxyorganosilane esters of formula (II); (c) hydrolysis products of (I) or (II), of formula äSi(O)(a+1)(R2)(2-a)CH2CHR3CH2 -ÄO(CHR3)xÜyOHün (III); and (d) alcoholysis products of (I) or (II), of formula Si(OR2)(a+1)(R2)(2-a)CH2CHR3CH3 -ÄO(CHR3)xÜyOH (IV). In (I)-(IV), R1 = hydrolysable group or R2; R2 = organyl group linked to a carbon (C) atom; R = hydrogen (H) or methyl (Me); x = 2-6; y = 0-60; z = 1-6; a = 1 or 2; n = 2-6. Also claimed is the use of acyclic olefinically unsaturated organohydridosilane esters of formula CH2=CR3CH2-ÄO(CHR3)xÜyOH (V) as cross-linking agents and adhesives for materials and/or as phase transfer agents.

    Abstract: Prepn of 3-(pseudo)haloalkyl-silane esters of formula (I) comprises catalysed reaction of unsatd aliphatic cpds contg a reactive allyl (pseudo)halide gp and terminal double bond, of formula (II), with a hydridosilane ester of formula (III) in the presence of gp. VIII element and/or cpd. The novel features are that (a) a 0.1-0.0001 N soln or suspension of Ir and/or Ir cpds is prepd by stirring for at least 20 min with (II) alone or a mixt of (II) and (III) contg an excess of 0.01-100, pref 0.1-10 mole% (II) and opt in 5-95 wt% soln in inert solvents, eg hydrocarbons and/or (I); and (b) hydrosilylation is carried out with this at a catalyst concn of 10 - 10 mole%. R = 1-18C (halo)alkyl or (halo)cycloalkyl; R = R or H; R , R = R, H, aryl or halogen; R = 1-10C alkyl, opt contg aliphatic ether gps; X = F, Cl, Br, I, CN, NCO, NCS or N3; n = 0, 1 or 2.
