Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a molding material having high notched impact strength. SOLUTION: The molding material contains the following components: (a) 75-99.9 parts by mass of polyarylene ether ketone and (b) 0.1-25 parts by mass of polyalkenylene having 5-12 carbon atoms in the repeat unit, the total of these parts by mass being 100. Abstract:
The invention relates to a moulding material containing the following components: I. 50 to 99.98 weight parts of thermoplastic polyester, II. 0.02 to 5 weight parts of a copolymer containing polysiloxane blocks and polyester blocks, III. 0 to 49.98 weight parts of additional additives selected from other polymers, filling materials and pigments, anti-static agents, reinforcement materials and stabilisers. The total of all of the weight parts is equal to 100. Said moulding material is used in the production of metallized moulding parts.
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a polyester molding material having a remarkably reduced melting viscosity or improved flowability, without extremely deteriorating mechanical characteristics of the molding material. SOLUTION: In the molding material comprising (a) 95-99.5 pts. by mass of a thermoplastic aromatic polyester and (b) 5-0.5 pts. by mass of a monocarboxylic acid, the sum of the (a) and the (b) being 100 pts. by mass, the molding material further contains (c) a filler, a pigment, a reinforcer, an additive which imparts static electricity characteristic resistance or electrical conductivity to the molding material, a particulate, a stratified and/or a fiber shape additive selected between a nucleating agent and a particulate flame retardant, the additive being 0.5-60 pts. by mass on the basis of the molding material, the solution viscosity of the polyester which is incorporated in the molding material being 50-80 cm 3 /g by a measurement as a J value according to DIN 53728/ISO 1628/Teil 5, and a melt index of the molding material being 12-60 cm 3 /10 min by a measurement as MVR at 250°C/5 kg. Abstract:
The present invention relates to high-transparency plastic materials which are laser-markable and/or laser-weldable due to a content of nanoscale laser-sensitive metal oxides. These plastic materials, which may be provided as molded bodies, semifinished products, molding compounds, or lacquers, particularly contain metal oxides having particle sizes from 5 to 100 nm and a content of 0.0001 to 0.1 weight-percent. Typical metal oxides are nanoscale indium-tin oxide or antimony-tin oxide. These materials may be used in particular for producing laser-markable production products.
