Abstract: The invention relates to a polynucleotide cluster of Rhodococcus, containing nucleotide sequences coding for polypeptides having the activity of a nitrile hydratase, an auxiliary protein P15K activating said enzyme, and a cobalt transporter. The invention also relates to micro-organisms transformed by said cluster, in which the nucleotide sequences coding for said proteins are reinforced, and to the use of the transformed micro-organisms for producing amides from nitriles.
