    Abstract: Mouldable and vulcanisable rubber mixtures are made containing a rubber (A) which still contains double bonds and which is cross-linkable by means of sulphur and a vulcanization accelerator or a mixture of rubber (A) with a different rubber (B), 0.2 to 10 parts of sulphur, 0.2 to 10 parts of a vulcanization accelerator and 1.0 to 10 parts of a bis-(alkoxysilylalkyl)polysulfide. There can also be present a silicate filler and/or a carbon black filler of rubber. The rubber mixtures have the silane, vulcanization accelerator and sulphur, calculated as S8 present in a molar ratio which causes the rubber mixture to have a reversion R=O (+/-5%) resulting from the cross-linking isotherm at the vulcanization temperature where the reversion R is calculated according to Formula II in which Dmax is the maximum vulcameter moment of rotation Dmin is the minimum vulcameter moment of rotation D(max+60 min) is the vulcameter moment of rotation measured 60 minutes after the appearance of the maximum moment of rotation. There is also disclosed the process of vulcanizing the above-mentioned rubber mixtures or moulding compositions and forming vehicle tires using the rubber mixtures.

    Abstract: Silica containing mixtures for the improvement of the adhesion of vulcanizable mixtures of natural and/or synthetic rubber to reinforcing fillers or supports of textile and/or metallic fabrics after the vulcanization are prepared that substantially consist of (A) active synthetically produced silica or silicates having a specific surface area according to the BET procedure of about 50 to 500 m2/g and an average primary particle size of from about 5 to 100 and at least one of (B) phenolic resin or aminoplast forming components, namely on the one hand phenols and/or amines and on the other hand aldehydes or aldehyde donors, and/or at least (C) one organosilane which can be a bisalkoxysilylalkyl-oligosulfide of the formula I.     Abstract: There are prepared nitrogen containing alkoxysilanes of the formula (RO)3-n(CH3)nSi(CH2)mNHCON3 in which R is an alkyl group having 1 to 3 carbon atoms, n is 0, 1 or 2 and m is 1, 2 or 3 by a process comprising dissolving in an inert solvent an isocyanate group containing silane of the formula (RO)3-n(CH3)nSi(CH2)mN=C=O in which R, n and m are as defined above and reacting the silane with a water free hydrogen nitride or with hydrogen halide and an alkali metal-alkaline earth metal-, or ammonium azide at a temperature between 0 DEG C. and the boiling point of the inert solvent. The compounds are useful in making phosphinimines.

    Abstract: The invention relates to a silane/filler preparation, consisting essentially of from 5 to 70% by weight of at least one silane corresponding to the following formula Xp-CmH2m+1-pSiRn1(OR)3-n, I in which X=a halogen atom, preferably chlorine or bromine, p=1 or 2, m=1 to 5, R1=a C1-C5 alkyl group, C5-C8-cycloalkyl group or a phenyl group, R=a C1-C5-alkyl group, a C5-C8-cycloalkyl group, a phenyl group, a benzyl group or a C1-C5-alkoxy-C1-C5-alkyl group, and n=0, 1 or 2, and-respectively balanced to 100%-from 95 to 30% by weight of at lesat one inorganic filler, preferably carbon black and silicate fillers as, e.g., silica. There is also disclosed a process for the production of the silane/filler preparation and its use in optionally cross-linkable polymeric moulding compositions or vulcanizable or cross-linkable rubber moulding compositions such as sulphur-vulcanizable moulding compositions based on natural rubber and/or synthetic rubber.
