Abstract:
This invention relates to silylated polymers having mixed alkoxy groups on the silyl portion thereof, methods of their preparation, and compositions and reaction products formed therefrom. These alkoxysilylated polymers can be crosslinked when exposed to atmospheric moisture to become useful elastomers, sealants or adhesives. The presence of different alkoxy groups on the silicon atoms can control or otherwise moderate the cure speeds of these silylated polymers.
Abstract:
Reaction products have more than 1,500 molecular weight and are produced by reacting: A) fats having 1 to 10, preferably 1.5 to 6 units of at least one of the functional groups -OH, -COOH, -SH, -NH2, -C=C-, an epoxide group or an acid anhydride group in the fat radical, the fat containing at least 1 % by moles of at least three-functional fats, with B) at least one mono- or multifunctional compound capable of reacting with the functional groups of the fats. The reaction products are preferably dispersed as liquids in water. These binders are suitable for coating, sealing and binding, in particular gluing, alone or combined with known glues and polymer dispersions. Glue dispersions, pressure-sensitive masses, universal glues and glue sticks may in particular be produced from these binders.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a binding agent containing at least one graft polymer which comprises at least two alkoxy silyl groups of general formula (I) wherein R1 represents a linear or branched alkyl radical comprising 1 to 6 C atoms, R2 represents a linear or branched alkyl radical comprising 1 to 6 C atoms, and m represents a whole number from 0 to 2. The invention also relates to a binding agent composition containing at least one polymer comprising alkoxy silyl groups, and at least one other polymer comprising one or no alkoxy silyl group, or containing a mixture of at least two such polymers. The invention further relates to a method for the production of said binding agents and binding agent compositions, and the use thereof.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a hydraulically setting composition, containing amidobetaine, ether carboxylic acids and alkylbetaine as adjuvants. The invention also relates to a method for the production of said composition, to the utilization of given compounds as adjuvants, to the utilization of an inventive composition for the production of shaped bodies and special building, plaster and mastic materials.

Abstract:
Physically and/or chemically setting binders are modified by fats, in particular esters of fatty acids or fatty alcohols, specially triglycerides of higher fatty acids, preferably natural fats and oils. They may be added in high concentrations to the binders, in particular synthetic polymers such as homo- and co-polyvinylacetate, without neutralising their binding properties. Their admixture improves wetting properties, water resistance and above all hardness. In particular dispersion glues, hot-melt-type glues and glue sticks may be improved with these binders.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a jointing compound of an acrylate/acrylonitrile copolymer containing 2 to 8 carbon atoms in the alcohol component as binder and fatty compounds as plasticizer and also fillers and auxiliaries. Epoxy-- stearic acid methyl ester in particular may be used as the fatty compound while a butyl acrylate/acrylonitrile copolymer in particular may be used as the acrylate/acrylonitrile copolymer. The combination of the two substances results in jointing compounds characterized by a dramatic improvement in elasticity (resilience). Accordingly, they are particularly suitable for substrates with different coefficients of thermal expansion.
