Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for developing easy-to-use therapeutic operation to perform by a diabetic himself/herself. SOLUTION: The puncturing device comprises a lancet drive 21 for generating a puncturing wound by means of a lancet 10. The lancet drive transmits a rotation torque to a lancet 10 to perform a puncturing motion in the form of a rotational motion about a geometric axis such that the lancet 10 performs a puncturing motion in the form of a rotation motion about a geometric axis. Further, a lancet supply ribbon is formed to be used in a puncturing device 20 storing a plurality of lancets composed of a lancet body with a coupling element 4. The lancet has a test field 5 for assaying a body fluid sample to which a body fluid sample can be supplied only after the lancet tip 3 has been pulled out of a puncturing wound that has been generated by the lancet. Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means capable of conquering disadvantages which are the possibility of wear-tearing when using a knife or a blanking tool, the possibility of contamination of the knife with an adhesive, a risk of breakage in a cut face area as a result of a mechanical load, and a damage of a seal because of a sharp end, when manufacturing a multilayered analytical element. SOLUTION: The multilayered analytical element or one part of constitutive elements in the multilayered analytical element is cut out from an analytical element blank, using laser irradiation. The laser irradiation cuts a space between at least two areas through different material layers, and has a laser power effective for the cutting and varied in response to thicknesses of and materials of the different material layers cut in within the areas. Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a microdialytic system that assures prescribed highly reliable dialytic functions. SOLUTION: A microdialytic system that can be inserted in an in vivo tissue 10 is equipped with a microdialysis probe 12 having a dialysis membrane for separating a probe route 18 filled with a perfusate from the in vivo tissue, a sensor cell 14 for electric chemical measurement of elements contained in the perfusate, specifically glucose, to be transferred from the microdialysis probe 12 and a transport device 16 that transports the perfusate to the sensor cell 14 through the microdialysis probe 12, whereas the transport device 16 is provided with a delivery pump unit 30 connected with an entrance 20 of the probe route 18 on the delivery side, and a suck up pump unit 31 connected with an exit 24 of the probe route 18 on the sucking side that simultaneously operates with the delivery pump unit 30.

Abstract:
The method involves cutting out a lancet body (2) with a lancet tip (3) of a metal band, where the cutting is performed as laser cutting accomplished by a laser beam. The metal band is moved relative to the laser beam during cutting. A strip (6) is applied with test chemicals on the metal band for examining a body fluid sample, where the lancet body is cut with the laser by the strip and by the closely lying metal band. The strip is formed of polymer fibers that are merged at edges of the strip by the laser beam. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a lancet supply strip including lancets (2) a puncture device for generating a puncturing wound by using a replaceable lancet.
