Abstract: A mechanical structure of an information processing device which includes a system board mounted with one or more electric parts and the inside of which is housed in an enclosure. The enclosure has an exchanging port facing exchangeable parts on the system board and a lid for closing the port. When assembling the information processing device, the lid, the exchangeable parts, a heat radiating member, and the system board are stacked in this order. The heat radiating effect is improved without marring the exchangeability of heat generating parts. In addition, the cost of manufacturing the information processing device is low because the mechanical structure is relatively simple.

Abstract: Provided is a mechanical structure, for an information handling unit in which are included one or more exchangeable electric components, whose interior is enclosed by a box. The box has: an exchange opening formed for a replacement of an exchangeable electric component; and a lid for engaging the exchange opening and for contacting the exchangeable electric component. According to the present invention, the heat releasing effect can be enhanced with no deterioration of the ease with which a heat generating component can be exchanged. In addition, the present invention can be embodied as a relatively simple mechanical structure, and manufacturing costs can be reduced.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an extension unit for a notebook-sized PC capable of relieving impact to a notebook-sized PC and protecting it even when the impact applies owing to fall, etc., with the notebook-sized PC is docked with the extension unit and a computer system using it. SOLUTION: This extension unit 1 for a notebook-sized PC is for an extension unit of a notebook-sized PC which is connected integrally with a notebook- sized PC 11 to be used in order to add various functions to the PC 11 consisting of a displaying part 13 and a system main body 12. In this unit 1, an outer wall 2 is formed by erecting it from the unit 1 at the outer peripheral part of the unit 1. Thus, when connected integrally with the PC 11, at least the side of the body 12 of the PC 11 can be protected by the wall 2 and the PC is protected from being damaged. Also, a computer system is organized by connecting the PC 11 integrally with the unit 1.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To release heat generated in a wearable computer or the like using a cable. SOLUTION: Heat generated by a CPU 30 in a PC body 3 is transferred to a heat collecting member 38, and then is transferred to a heat conductive sheet 22 of a cable 2 through a heat pipe 32 and a connecting member 34. The heat conductive sheet 22 guides the heat transferred through the heat collecting member 38, the heat pipe 32, and the connecting member 34 to the longitudinal direction of the cable 2, and simultaneously gradually releases it to the outside through a coating to radiate heat in the PC body 3.

Abstract: To use a cable to radiate heat generated inside a wearable computer. Heat generated by a CPU 30 inside a PC body 3 is transferred to a heat conducting member 38 and is further transferred to a heat conducting sheet 22 of a cable 2 via a heat pipe 32 and a connection member 34. The heat conducting sheet 22 conducts in the longitudinal direction of the cable 2, the heat transferred via the heat collecting member 38, the heat pipe 32, and the connection member 34 while gradually releasing the heat to the exterior thereof via the coating 20 to radiate the heat from the interior of the PC body 3.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To prevent a battery from slipping down from a battery storage part after the engaged state of the battery in a use position is released. CONSTITUTION: The latch part 66 of a latch lever 60 is pushed by a flat spring 72, it engages a recessed part 50 provided in the erecting face 48 of the battery 20 and holds the battery 20 in a battery storage part 24 at the use position. A knob 48 is operated, the latch lever 60 is turned and the engaged state between the latch part 66 and the recessed part 50 is released. When the battery 20 slides to an insertion port 22-side and it is pulled out, a plunger 90 engages the recessed part 50 and prevents the battery 20 from slipping down from the battery storage part 24. Thus, the battery is prevented from slipping down from the battery storage part 24 even if the battery 20 is pulled out in a state where an information processor is inclined.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable effective security in a combination state by placing a security selection switch of the extension unit, coupled with a notebook type PC, at a given position and locking a cable lock to a slot. SOLUTION: A security select slide knob 10 provided on the bottom surface of the extension unit 2 has three select positions. When the knob 10 is slid from a 1st select position indicating a free position to a 2nd select position, release buttons 6 and 7 of bays 4 and 5 are fixed to disable subsystems put in the bays to be taken out. To protect both the PC 1 and extension unit 2, the PC 1 is coupled with the extension unit 2 and the knob 10 is set at a 3rd selection position; and then the release buttons 6 and 7 are fixed, an injection lever 3 is also fixed, and the cable lock is fitted to an security slot 9 to couple the extension unit 2 integrally with the subsystems, thereby protecting the whole with the PC 1 which can not be separated.
