Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a protection mechanism with which a disk is not damaged even when narrowing a space provided in order to protect the disk drive and to provide an electronic apparatus. SOLUTION: Between a palm rest 24 of a notebook-sized personal computer and a hard disk drive 26, a reinforcing member 32 to reinforce the palm rest 24 is provided. The reinforcing member 32 has a dome part 34 and an outer peripheral part 38 which is continuous with the peripheral edge of a dome part 34 and the outer peripheral part 38 is supported by guide members 30A and 30B. Thereby, when force, such as impact force, is applied from the outer side of the palm rest 24 and the dome part 34 receives the pressing force, the reinforcing member 32 is supported by the guide members 30A and 30B. Thus, the maximum value d of the space which should be opened on a casing 25 for the protect of the hard disk drive 26 is remarkably small compared with conventional technique. Such a small space is very convenient for performing thinning of the notebook-sized personal computer.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase an air flow quantity in a condition in which a noise level is held within an allowable value by arranging adhesive materials on a root part which is brought into contact with a hub in a surface side and a back surface side of each blade, and appropriately differing each shape of blades, in a fan wherein a plurality of blades are mounted around the hub to be rotated. SOLUTION: In a fan 1, a plurality of blades 4 are mounted at equal clearances around a hub 3 fixed to a rotary shaft of a motor in a fan main body 2. In this case, adhesive materials 5 are arranged on a root part 4a which is brought into contact with a hub 3 of a surface side and a back surface side in the appropriate number of blades 4. Each shape of the blades 4 provided with the adhesive materials 5, and each shape of the blades 4 not provided with the adhesive materials 5, are differed from each other. Accordingly, a periodicity applied to pressure change of air is reduced by each shape of the blades 4, and noise is reduced. Even if the number of the blades 4 and rotating speed are increased for increasing an air supplying quantity, it is possible to hold a noise level of a fan 1 within an allowable value.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To moderate the impact propagating from a cabinet 15 of a notebook type computer 10 to an HD 19 via a connector 20 when the cabinet 15 receives impact of falling, collision or the like.
SOLUTION: The connector 20 has a lower side connector part 39 fixed to a printed-circuit board 27 and a guide shaft 42, and an upper side connector part 38 arranged at the upper side of the lower side connector part 39 so as to keep a gap 40 in vertical direction between the lower side connector part 39 and itself, made slidable on the guide shaft 42. A terminal pin of the HD 19 is detachment freely inserted into the front face side of the upper side connector part 38. Electric connecting pins for upper and lower stages 53, 54 are inserted through a pin insertion through hole 49 of the upper side connector part 38 and enabled to be connected to the terminal of the HD 19 at upper end parts 56, 66, and have U-shaped elastic parts 60, 70 at the intermediate part.Bottom end parts 59, 60 are protruded downward of the lower side connector part 39, and connected to a wiring of the printed circuit board 27.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an extension unit for a notebook-sized PC capable of relieving impact to a notebook-sized PC and protecting it even when the impact applies owing to fall, etc., with the notebook-sized PC is docked with the extension unit and a computer system using it. SOLUTION: This extension unit 1 for a notebook-sized PC is for an extension unit of a notebook-sized PC which is connected integrally with a notebook- sized PC 11 to be used in order to add various functions to the PC 11 consisting of a displaying part 13 and a system main body 12. In this unit 1, an outer wall 2 is formed by erecting it from the unit 1 at the outer peripheral part of the unit 1. Thus, when connected integrally with the PC 11, at least the side of the body 12 of the PC 11 can be protected by the wall 2 and the PC is protected from being damaged. Also, a computer system is organized by connecting the PC 11 integrally with the unit 1.
