Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quickly display a truely purposed graphic object from a hidden graphic object group by simple mouse operation by changing a graphic display state so that when an operator moves a pointer to the right direction on an operation tablet, graphic objects located on the front side are successively turned to non-display states and graphic objects hidden on the rear side are allowed to appear. SOLUTION: A graphic display changing part 106 changes various parameters or the like in accordance with a change in the display state of a graphic object based on operator's operation. A display state table preparation part 107 sorts the contents of a graphic object display state table 109 by the depth direction of a reference plane 108 in display space. A display state changing range judging part 111 updates the flag of the table 109 in accordance with the contents of an event inputted by an operator. A graphic display state determination part 113 determines a graphic object of which display state is to be changed and its display state from the contents of the table 109.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correctly select a three-dimensional (3D) object hidden in a compound object by conspicuously displaying the corresponding 3D object inside a main window in response to the location of a pointer inside one area in a sub-window. SOLUTION: On a main window 310 of a CRT, a columnar area having the central axis of a semi-straight line with a pointer P as a start point is defined as a search object. An object having a common part with the search object is defined as a selection candidate. A sub-window 410 is displayed in a screen 300 and divided so that a selection candidate is allocated. The pointer P is displayed inside the sub-window 410. When the pointer P enters a corresponding divided area, a display attribute of the object selected as a selection candidate is changed into highlight (high luminance) state. A user moves a mouse while carefully watching the picture of the object and moves the pointer P so as to highlight the intended object.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To adjust server's loads caused by requests and to steadily set the controlled loads without stopping service provision by the server.
SOLUTION: Requests transmitted to the sever 2 are temporarily stored in a queue 4, the requests existing in the queue or requests generated by a false client 5 when no request exists in the queue are successively transferred to the server 2 at prescribed timing to control server's loads caused by the requests. In this case, timing at which requests to be transferred to the server 2 arrive at the server 2 at fixed arrival time interval distribution is adopted as the prescribed timing. Such a timing is determined on the basis of random numbers generated from a random number generator 6 at prescribed probability distribution.

Besides, functions are related to respective function areas 201-231, and when there is mouse click in a certain function area, the function related to that function area among the function areas 201-231 is executed. This set of function areas 201-231 can be changed by operation for changing the size of the composite icon or switching the system of function groups or the selection of an object to be operated.
