    Abstract: PURPOSE: A device and a method for supporting assembly data are provided to manage arrangement information of parts at time when a designer wants to detect or modify the mismatching. CONSTITUTION: A memory unit(40) memorizes relative arrangement information showing constraint conditions among a plurality of parts. A producing unit produces absolute arrangement information showing at least one of absolute location and rotation of the parts in assembly data based on the relative arrangement information. A preserving unit(32) preserves the absolute arrangement information in the memory unit according to instruction input which keeps an assembly state of the parts.
